Lotus Evora GX set for Grand-Am debut

So, following reports that Lotus owner DRB-Hicom is looking to reign back former chief Dany Bahar's previous five-car strategy, here's what Norfolk will offer teams for the Grand AM Rolex Sports Car Series: 440bhp and a mighty wing. Nice.

It's called the Lotus Evora GX, and follows on the back of the Evora GTC racer. It weighs in at just 1,150kg - 10kg heavier than the GTC - and packs a 4.0-litre V6 pumping out 440bhp and 324lb ft of torque mated to a Xtrac six-speed sequential paddle-shift gearbox. You can probably guess the performance times (because none have been given): quick.

It features carbon fibre doors, roof and engine cover, along with Plexiglass windows and a US-spec roll cage. Aero-wise, the Evora GX gets a new front splitter and front bumper, flared arches, motorsport-grade wide wheels and of course, that lovely rear wing. Oh, and there's no ABS or traction control.

Fancy a heroically quick bewinged racer that - should you disrespect it - is capable of finding the quickest path to a nice tasty patch of Armco? Yours for just $335k (£213,000).
